Biography

Ildze’s love of drawing and creating goes back as far as she can remember. Art is the one constant that has been present through every phase of childhood till present day. Born in Talsi, studied in Riga, lived abroad for several years, now she’s back in Latvia, Liepaja where she works in her art studio on daily basis.

She believes that since there is so much destruction happening in the World, she is not comfortable furthering this misery.

Therefore, the Latvian artist creates happy, and realistically magical paintings.

Her work is inspired by nature and she loves to play with patterns and colour. Ose employs acrylics in the backgrounds of her pieces, while using oils for the flowers and animals she depicts in her bright compositions.
